ORKNEY RFC played some of their best rugby of the season, but lost out
12-7 to Highland in the third round of the Scottish Hydro Electric
National Cup in Inverness today, Saturday.
The travelling side put in what captain Erland Drever described as
their best team performance of the season so far against a side that is
two flights above them, lying ninth in National League Division 2.
A converted try from Al Watson gave Orkney their seven points in a tie in which Al was also voted Orkney's man of the match.
Orkney now have a bye in the first round of the Scottish Hydro Electric Bowl competition.
