ORKNEY Rugby Club completed a successful double-header weekend on
Sunday afternoon with a 21-5 win away to Crieff & Strathearn,
following on from Saturday's 47-7 victory at Stirling University.
Sunday's match was described as 'a very hard game'. James Linklater and
Bruce Ruthven were missing for Orkney but Aberdeen-based Orcadian Keith
Oddie played for the travellers.
Orkney scored eight tries, two conversions and a penalty in Saturday's
match against Stirling University and Callum Rendall (pictured scoring a try in the 53rd minute) was man of the
match.
The two wins stretch Orkney's run of league wins to 16 from 16 and
means they lead Caledonia League Division 1 by 11 points, sitting on 76
to St Andrews University's 65. Both teams have now played the same
number of games.
