Westray artist to exhibit in the Loft

THE September exhibition at the Loft Gallery, St Margaret's Hope will be a delight for all those who already know the work of artist Peter Brown, and especially those who have had the pleasure of visiting his beautiful gallery on Westray. For people who have not yet discovered his work there is a huge treat in store.
Art lecture will be worth the Waight

ORKNEY Arts Society will host a visual arts lecture by Michael Waight on September 2.
Waight is master printmaker at Peacock Visual Arts in Aberdeen, and has editioned prints with many of Britain's finest artists including the late Sylvia Wishart.

Saltfishforty to launch already acclaimed third CD in Orkney

SALTFISHFORTY is holding a launch event next Thursday, July 29, to mark the release of the band's third album. Netherbow follows Orkney Twister (2005) and Goose Music, the band's debut album in 2003.
